Dr. Danny Avalos obtained his undergraduate degree at Rutgers University. He then completed his medical degree at Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica, after which he went on to complete a Clinical Research Fellowship in Gastroenterology at Cleveland Clinic Florida. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency training at the University of Miami/JFK Campus and his Clinical Fellowship in Gastroenterology at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. As a fellow, he was awarded the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation visiting IBD fellowship at Harvard’s Massachusetts General Hospital.
Dr. Avalos is fluent in Spanish and English. Clinical interests include colon cancer screening, inflammatory bowel diseases, motility and pancreatico-biliary diseases. Dr. Avalos has published over 40 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters. He enjoys spending time with family and playing the guitar.
